|
Policy Committees: The purpose of the committee is to recommend appropriate guidelines, policies and structure for IHSA. They also annually review the by-laws and make recommendations. |

Community Awareness/Legislative Committee: The purpose of the committee is to maintain on-going information, gathering and sharing and to prose recommendation concerning any legislation that will affect Head Start programs. |
|
Finance/Membership Committee: The purpose of the committee is to propose policies and procedures regarding finances and to maintain current involvement membership for IHSA. Functions include submitting an annual budget, submitting monthly and annual fiscal reports, making cost projections and evaluating the financial needs of the association, annually reviewing the fiscal handbook and actively recruiting. |

Conference and Training Committee: The purpose of the committee is to propose recommendations and provide information regarding conferences/training matters. Functions include serving as a resource for training needs, reviewing existing training programs and monitoring state planning with local agencies. |

Nomination and Election Committee: The purpose of the committee is to oversee the election process and nominations for the Board of Directors |
|
Executive Committee: The function of the committee is to oversee the effective operations of the Indiana Head Start Association between regular board meetings. The IHSA officers comprise the Executive Committee. They are the President, President Elect, Past President, Secretary and Treasurer. |
